Jillian Noel Shennessy born November 25, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress that was acknowledged for her contributions in American television. She's famous for her impressive performances on the American television series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons playing prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy showcased her talents in films that were independent, like Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Hennessy began her career in the year 1988 with her sister in the role of twin call girls in Dead Ringers. The actress sat for a few minutes on Broadway as part of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, before moving into science fiction when she appeared in the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break occurred later that year when she joined the cast of the acclaimed NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Three seasons of her role was a hit with the public. She left in 1996. Parker has appeared on film and television shows like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys On The Side, West Wing Angels In America and RED Fried Tomatoes for which she won the Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award. Parker was also awarded the Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her performance as Proof in the musical Proof on Broadway.
