Aaliyah Daniel Haughton made her way to stardom in 1994 with the release of her first album Age Ain't Nothing but a Numer. The album, released when she only had 15 years old it went Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the artist into the spotlight. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland collaborated to produce the second album of hers, One In A Million. This album featured the track If Your Boyfriend Only Knew as the single number one. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B vocals with the album. In 2000, she appeared in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in the awards ceremony. Queen of the Damned was her debut role in 2002. It's based on an Anne Rice novel. The year 2003 saw her starred on screen in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The singer was awarded four Grammy nominations in 1999 and 2003. Born in Connecticut to the family of Indian descent. Mann is the abbreviation for her married first name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar is her official name. However, she has also used Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. Although her early professional career was mostly dominated by small movie and TV parts, she gained prominence in the mid-2000s. Other than The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials, including Volvo and many other major car companies. She lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting profession.
